Nothing brings me more joy than to help others learn and build inclination for something I feel so passionately about. And I want to share with you all the things that have helped me become a better piano player — the Jazer method.
Why learn how to play the piano?
Well, there are so many reasons! Learning how to play a musical instrument can have a positive impact on your life and who knows? Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to become a world-famous musician just like Mozart!
But you may be thinking who I am, what I do and why am I telling you to learn how to play the piano NOW, here’s a bit about myself: I am 28 years old, a Youtuber and a piano teacher for more than 10 years. Over the years of practicing and teaching, I often reflect on what music is actually doing for me as an individual… How it’s affecting me as a person…. What kind of person would I be without it?
And, you know what?
I realized that I would be a dull person. Learning to play the piano (and learning any kind of music) is such an important part of life! It’s so healthy for our brain and it’s good for our soul… When I’m bored, all I have to do is sit down at the piano and start playing. Within minutes, I become happy & energized!
Would you also believe that there are numerous benefits of playing a musical instrument? That’s why I don’t care if I don’t have enough time to exercise because playing piano is already a mental workout! 🤣 You can check out more of that here.
What is the mission of the Jazer Lee Piano Studio?
I know how hard it is to start making music by playing piano. There are so many things to learn, and you have no idea where to begin.
But please know that you’re not alone in this feeling of uncertainty. Most people who want to make music feel lost when they try to get started. Another issue is, there’s too much confusing and conflicting advice out there. Some resources tell you something different than what another one says.
That’s why I have designed a practical and systematic approach to studying piano and this reflects in all of the tutorials on my Youtube channel — it will teach you the basics of playing the piano from scratch, without overwhelming you with too much information at once. Each video lesson is short enough that you can watch them while commuting or before bedtime while still being long enough for me to explain everything in detail!
I believe that my lessons are perfect for beginners because they don’t assume any prior knowledge, but even if you’re an experienced pianist there’s something for everyone as well.
How does Jazer Lee Piano Studio impact the lives of others?
My students usually fall in love with piano after they learn with the proven methods I use. Many students tell me they wish they got to know me earlier so they wouldn’t have wasted years fumbling around.
To continue providing beginner musicians, like you, the confidence you need in order to start playing right away while avoiding common mistakes and pitfalls, I’m in the process of building comprehensive piano courses as of writing.
As you wait for the anticipated release of my online courses, you can check out my Youtube channel with over 40 videos and more are being added every week about strategies and practical methods.
Having the ability to play a piano is something that few people can do. For those who have tried to learn, they know how hard it is to master the instrument. But for those who have never picked up a single sheet of music, playing an entire song on a piano may seem impossible.
What to expect from the Jazer Lee Piano Studio?
That and many other questions like:
- How many lessons will be enough?
- Will they teach me how to play the songs that I want to learn?
- Does this studio offer group classes or private lessons only?
- Is it bang for the buck?
The Jazer Lee Piano Studio is different. I’m offering free beginner level tutorials on my Youtube channel to help you through the process of learning to play piano and the classical music that you love.
If you want to take it up a notch, my online course will be available soon to guide you through more intermediate and advanced levels. The course will show you step-by-step how to practice each lesson so that you can improve quickly without getting lost or frustrated!
And that’s it! I’ve just written my first ever blog, I’ve been meaning to do this for so long to let you know how you can learn the piano with the Jazer method 😉
Please let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to talk about — I’m planning to post once a week or so.
I hope you get some inspiration and motivation to venture into the world of piano. I’m looking forward to “playing the piano” with you all!
Hi Jazer. Congratulations on your first ever blog. I am looking forward to many more. I have been following you for a while and you are the best piano teacher in my view. I am saying this as an educator myself. I am looking forward to your courses too. When they are open for registration?
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoy my content, and that you follow me on social media!
I am currently working on some piano courses that will be available in the coming months. Be on the lookout for updates! Thanks again for your support and encouragement- it means a lot to me.
Hi Jazer!
I am definitely looking forward to your online courses.
I want to learn playing the piano.
An instrument on which I can play melodies is s.th. I would love to be able to.
I am 45 years young ;-), have played the drums for several years in my youth.
But, lacking time and a rehearsal-room, I stopped playing many years ago.
Rhythm sight reading is something I still can do to a good extend, but the tone pitch is something I cannot (yet!) read.
So I will start with a German Online-music-school which has very good valuations.
But, when You launch your online-sessions, I want definitely to sign in.
By the way, what is your vision regarding prices (roughly)?
I bought a used Kawai CA7 in very good shape, because the advices in forums were like “buy something good from a brand used, rather than something “no-name” made in P.R.C.
So, I want to say thank You! for your effort and your way of explaining and showing the things, I stumbled on YouTube over your videos and, having already experience on learning an instrument by scratch, your way of teaching makes A LOT of sense to me.
It is great, simply speaking.
See ya online,
greetings from middle Europe,
Jens
